Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) uses a broad spectrum of light frequencies to target the follicles of each hair. The IPl heats the root and will, over time, kill the follicle thus removing the hair.

 

Hair grows in cycles, and at any one stage you will have different amount of hairs in each stage of this growth cycle. Because of this not all hairs will respond in a similar way in each given session. Therefore a number of separate IPL sessions, spread over a period time, will be required to obtain a good and long lasting result.
